Domitian was emperor of Rome from 81-96 AD, following Nero, Vespasian, and his brother Titus. Many theologians consider that John wrote the Book of Revelation during his reign. Domitian worked to rebuild the sections of Rome that had been damaged by the fire of 64 AD, and he led military campaigns to extend the borders of the empire, even as far as Britain.
