Most people have a lot of questions about the Holy Spirit and His work. Without entering into all of the points of debate, this lesson gives some basic guidelines about what it means to be full of the Holy Spirit.
The fullness of the Holy Spirit can be understood in two senses: as a more permanent characteristic of a person, and as a temporary experience. In Greek, the first use is expressed in the form of an adjective ("He is full of the Spirit."), and the second sense is expressed in the form of a verb in passive voice ("He was filled with the Spirit.")
